Captain Walczak Blog #4
I've received several emails regarding Capt. Manser's last blog. To assauge your fears, I will say that it is tough enough being one of the only female captains within our corporation to waste time sidetracked by what one drunk, irish construction worker has to say.
I've also not been informed of the new team of the Line's attack dogs being trained using the Zombie Virus. There has been no memo about this--and heads will roll if I've been left out in the cold. I believe in our organization, but certain new developments have made me doubt my place. My job as Captain of Interior Morale and Preparedness means I need to know this shit. I would hate to have to restructure my entire belief system based on that drunk, Capt. Manser and his bullshit manner of speaking. Perhaps he had too much to drink with his Line last night at the local pub before finishing his orders of writing another blog.
I swear, those boys on the line are just dying for the chance to kill.
The missive that came in last week regarding pets did, in fact, become another red-tape battle. The new puppies the Line are using are just creating more drama. More on that later. There's also a toothbrush and hygiene battle I'm having to fight, but that can wait as well.
More importantly, I had a small victory today regarding the weapons policy on admittance to our S.Z. If you will recall, the 8DI upper echelons did not want my team to have the power of removing weapons from shell-shocked survivors upon admittance to safety. I've managed to put forth a bill, which the uppers will vote on later this week, asking for a weapons-down until the self-governance phaze of the safe zone is in effect. Hopefully, this will get passed, taking a load off my team's back and assures safety within the walls.
I swear, I may put forth a request to join those jerks down in "The Line" at some point in the near future if the Red Tape Bullies dont start listening to the logic I dish them. (And for you "bullies" that read my blogs, this is not a formal request...yet.)
Salute and a handshake,
Capt. Aida Walczak
